Earlier this year while conducting a field training session for new metal detector owners, I was asked by one of my students whether or not I still got excited when I dug a small nugget. This gentleman said that since I had found so many pieces over the years that surely some of the excitement would have worn off. I could only smile and reply that if I had lost the passion....
